Happy Day!
I have been busy traveling (in and out of my home office) for work during the week and over the last several months. However, weekends arrive just in time for me to dive into a new sewing/quilting project and it gets me right back into my "crazed mania" sewing mode!!!

I am so excited looking forward to joining Khris'  2013 FREINDS swap, check it out at http://sewprimkhris.blogspot.com/ SWAP 2013 - I participated in this swap in 2009 and had a wonderful time getting to know and putting together goodies for my partner who lives in Hawaii, Leona.

I look forward to chatting/reading what's new with all of my sewing/blogger friends
Cheers :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN MAIL!!!

Holy Witches Bat Brew!!!!! I walked up to my front door on Wednesday and there is was....a Spooktacular box with my name on it......it was from my Halloween Tote Swap partner Nadine C.!!!!

I was so excited, I tore open the box and WOW, Nadine went all out, what a special treat!! The quilted tote is beautifully made and the button embellishments/handles are a perfect added touch! The matching pot holder is too cute! AND.....the goodies/sweet treats are "oh so Boo-rrific" and include matching fabric chunks, chocolate eyeballs, Chocolate bar from Seattle chocolates, a spooky spatula, and a beaded spider that wraps around a wine botte (which is sooooo adorable and hanging now from my favorite bottle of red wine).

Thank you so, so much Nadine for your thoughtful and creative Halloween Tote and the goodies!  I truly enjoyed being your partner.  Wishing you a happy, fun, and "Oh so spooky" Halloween :0)

Cheers,
Lanette

Happy Mail...YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Delivered to my doorstep yesterday was this adorable hand quilted bag and gifts from Carol over at Carol's Crafty Creations. Carol is the host and my swap partner of the Santa Sack Swap (so much FUN!!!). Carol hand quilted the bag and even quilted the handles, botton loop and also added a special touch and hand quilting stars all over the tote; it simply is the cutest bag ever!! The gifts are wrapped with a creative touch as well, one of the tags is made with circle scalloped paper with a layer of fabric sewn on top of it.....Just Love It!!!

Adorable Reversible Sling Bag Pattern

I made this cute reversible shoulder sling bag today in no time at all!!!! I chose Moda fabrics and just love the way it turned out ;0)
I stumbled upon this pattern on Char's blog over at http://www.crapivemade.com/2011/07/reversible-sling-bag-tutorial.html...sooo cute!! I added a few of my own little touches; I tied the straps instead of sewing them together and added a cute flower button & fabric latch. I plan on making a matching floppy hat and coin purse tomorrow, so much FUN!!

Pay It Forward

Well the summer has been quite busy and many changes have occurred in Tataville!!! I am now single and living alone for the first time in 14 years. Things have been a bit chaotic, but now I am settled and enjoying life in my new home/surroundings....and I just I love it.

I have not had much time to sew or post to my blog this summer, but now finally have my sewing room and office set up and am ready to get back into what I love doing most!!!

I received this beautiful apron as a pay it forward gift from Cathy McNabb back in June...I feel terrible that I have not posted the photo and thank you to my blog until now...I was able to email Cathy and thank her, however a photo/posting of the apron is a must as it is just adorable and matches my kitchen perfectly!!!! Thank you again, Cathy I just love it ;0) I am late in getting my pay it forward gifts out, but have started working on them and will send them out soon!!!!

Have an awesome Sunday,
Cheers!
