Stamp a Stack Stampin' Camp
Saturday, Puiwah and Nancy came by for a Stamp a Stack stampin' day. We had a great time sharing ideas, laughing, and of course snacking on delicious cookies from French's Bakery and BigRed's famous Bruschetta - YUMMMY! Can't wait to see what is in store for us next month!

First Day of Spring
I have been doing a little spring cleaning and re-arranging this week in my sewing room. It is amazing how much "stash" one can accumulate and in no time at all!! I am notorious for being the "must have it" kind of shopper/collector; especially when it comes to fabric, vintage items, and quilt kits/patterns.

Since posting my blog a week ago, I have come across and participated in several "give aways" that have been posted and all have been very generous and nice items (such a thoughtful gesture of sharing). While re-arranging my fabric shelves, I came across a few kits, that for some reason or another, I will not be using and thought I would host a give away and share with others too; surely another quilter would enjoy them!

In celebration of the First Day of Spring (20Mar09), I will be hosting my first (of several) drawing giveaways. This one is for a 16 inch pillow kit. The kit is from the 2006 Show Me Safari Shop Hop, Design by Liberty Homestead. The kit includes instructions to make the pillow, pink and green hand dyed cottons by Liberty Homestead, pillow backing, and three mother of pearl buttons.

If you would like your name in the drawing, all you need to do is leave a comment and share with me 1 or 2 of your favorite quilting blogs/sites (sites that are must haves on every quilters "go to" list) and why they are your favorite. Happy Birthday Penelope!
Today is my Princess' 4th birthday, isn't she the most precious lil' Yorkie you have ever seen?! She has added such joy to my life. Penelope and her older sister Emily (my black lab) are going to be palying it up all day today. Of course, all princess' want something sparkly for their birthday, so Mama is going to spoil her with a little pink bling, bling colar and yummy doggie candy coated treats.

I am working on a lap quilt for Penelope and when I am finished with it, I will post for all to see. I know she will be happy to give up her "store bought" blanket in return for the lap quilt that I am making her. What lil' Princess wouldn't be jumpin' up and down with doggie joy when getting a quilt made especially for her with lots of love by her Mama???!!

Crazy for Blogging!
Wow! Tataville was one insane place this past weekend!! I managed to set up my blog page, a non-stop task, which I was determined to have a good handle on by Sunday. I started Friday evening and worked (in a state of craziness) through Sunday evening; I loved every minute of it! FUN, FUN, FUN. I would not have survived my frenzied state without the help of Kim at Creating by the Lake; thanks a bunch for all your help Kimbo!

A big "Thank You" to Kris at Oh Sew Cozy, Sharon at Red Geranium Cottage, Colleen at Crazy for Primitive Quilts and Gardens, Cheryl at Polka Dots and Rick Rack and Kim at Creating by the Lake for your warm welcoming and thoughtful comments, so nice of you! I now have my email linked to my page and moving forward I will be able to respond to emails/comments directly. I can't wait to start chatting, creating and checking out the latest news on each your blogs....I am already addicted and it has only been three days!

I signed up for the Apron Club Block of the Month at Kris's Cozy Cottage Fabrics shop, and let me tell you, April 22 cannot get here soon enough! I am so excited and anxious to start the class and begin working on the first block (I better start brushing up on my applique skills right away!) Sweettata is crazy for aprons and anything apron theme!
